I am honestly so lost right now with this whole Amazon thing and I feel like a total idiot even asking this. I started this tiny blog for my dog Cooper - hes a golden retriever and literally destroys every toy I buy - and I wanted to put some links on the site so maybe I can make back the money I spend on tennis balls lol. But oh my god why is it so complicated? I thought I could just copy a link from the address bar but then I read that doesnt work and you need a special tag or whatever. My logic was that I could just find a button in Chrome to do it for me because I am definitely not tech savvy enough to be editing URLs manually every time I want to post a chew toy. I saw people talking about this thing called SiteStripe but it is driving me insane. Half the time it doesnt show up at the top of the page and when it does I cant figure out if it is using my right tracking ID or if I am just sending people to a dead link. Then I went to the Chrome web store and searched for Amazon affiliate extensions and there are like dozens of them. Some have like two stars and others look like they want access to my whole life story and I just dont know which one is safe or actually works. I dont have any money to spend on those big fancy tools like Geniuslink or whatever because my budget is basically zero right now until I actually make a sale. I just need something simple where I can be on a page for a dog bed, click a button, and get a short link that actually gives me the credit. Is there one that everyone actually uses or am I overthinking this? I need to get these links up by Friday because I promised my sister I would show her the site and I dont want it to look broken. Sorry if this is a really basic question I just feel like I'm drowning in tabs and none of it makes sense...

I struggled with SiteStripe for years until my current setup finally made it click.

  • no manual links
  • way less stress Cart To Link is a lifesaver for sharing Amazon stuff.

> Cart To Link is a lifesaver Honestly, I disagree with those suggestions because free extensions always feel like security risks. Like someone mentioned, safety is hard. I've been searching for months and I’m still just as stuck, unfortunately.
