Ive been a Prime member since 2010 so I know the UI inside out but this is driving me crazy. Im trying to coordinate a bulk order for our new studio in Austin and Ive got a cart full of monitors and gear that need approval before I drop $2k.
I tried moving items to a list but the coupons and lightning deals dont carry over so the price is totally wrong. I shouldnt have to take ten screenshots just to show someone whats in my bag. Is there an easy way to show my Amazon cart to someone else without sharing my actual login info?
I have been dealing with this exact headache for years, especially when coordinating large equipment buys for my freelance projects. Over the years, I've tried many workarounds, and honestly, Amazon's native sharing options are still surprisingly limited when it comes to preserving live deals and coupons in a shared view. In my experience, the best solution out there is a browser extension called Share-A-Cart. It is a total lifesaver for situations like your studio setup in Austin. Basically, you install the extension, click the icon while you are on your cart page, and it generates a unique code or a direct link. You send that link to your manager or whoever needs to approve the spend. When they click it, the items are automatically loaded into their own Amazon cart. The great thing about this method is that it usually carries over the specific variations you selected, though deals can still be tricky if they are account-bound. Still, it is way more efficient than the screenshot nightmare you are facing right now. I have used it for bulk monitor orders in the past and it saved me so much time. It beats the manual list-making process every single time because lists just dont capture the urgency of a lightning deal or a clipped coupon like a direct cart transfer does... definitely worth a shot.
@Reply #2 - good point! but I would be a little careful with browser extensions for high-value orders like this. Sometimes they can be a bit finicky with security or data privacy tho. Are you planning to do these bulk buys regularly, or is this just a one-time studio setup? If it is a regular thing, a Business account might be safer for official approvals...
