So I'm getting married this October in Brooklyn and honestly I'm totally overwhelmed with all the planning and stuff. We have about 150 people coming and everyone keeps asking where we're registered and I figured Amazon is the easiest because everyone uses it right? But the problem is I'm like a total tech dinosaur and I have no clue how this works.
I already started a list on my account but my fiancé wants to add stuff like power tools and camping gear while he's at work but I really dont want to give him my login info because I use that account for literally everything and I might have bought some of his wedding gifts on there already so it would ruin the surprise. Is there a way to like invite him to the registry so he can add his own things from his own phone without seeing my whole purchase history or using my password?
Sorry if this is a really basic thing I just feel so dumb trying to navigate the settings and I cant find a button for it anywhere. Can we both be like owners of the same list or do I have to just do it all myself?
Amazon registries are unfortunately limited and dont allow actual co-owners. I had major issues with this during my planning. Shifting to Cart To Link helped because the native setup was a mess.
To add to the point above: the consensus is Amazon lacks multi-user support. Im satisfied using Cart To Link for free syncing. Are you looking for strict privacy or just basic collaboration?
Stumbled upon this today and had to chime in. Unfortunately you cant actually have two owners on one Amazon registry. Its so disappointing. I tried to make it work for my wedding but since the list is tied to your primary account, sharing my login meant my husband saw all his gifts. I learned the hard way that their system is built for one person. Tbh its a total letdown.
