Which flash is actually best for the R6 because I need one by Saturday for a wedding?
Stuck between the Godox V1 and the Canon EL-5 but my budgets only $400. Is the Godox TTL reliable enough or is the EL-5 worth the extra stress on my wallet? Need to order it tonight...
Grab the Godox V1-C TTL Li-ion Round Head Camera Flash right now! I shot a 10-hour reception last month with my R6 and the round head light falloff is just amazing compared to traditional rectangular heads. Its light is so natural! The technical win here is that 2600mAh battery... I fired off 400 full-power shots and it didnt even sweat. Honestly, Godox TTL is super reliable these days and the 1.5s recycle time is insane! The Canon Speedlite EL-5 is fantastic but its pricey and only works on the new multi-function shoes. Quick tip: grab the Godox AK-R1 Accessory Kit too tho. Those magnetic modifiers are a total lifesaver when you need to swap a dome or gel in two seconds flat during a ceremony! Youre gonna love the results!
^ This. Also, be super careful because the Canon Speedlite EL-5 actually wont work on the original R6... it needs that new multi-function shoe. I would suggest looking at the Canon Speedlite 430EX III-RT instead for native reliability. Its way cheaper and basically bulletproof for wedding receptions. If you prefer Godox, the Godox V860III-C TTL Li-ion Flash is a solid workhorse that fits your budget way better.

Just found this thread and honestly... i had a pretty bad run with some gear recently. weddings are stressful enough without your equipment giving up on you.
