So I finally pulled the trigger on the G9II last month and honestly the stabilization is insane for my wildlife shots but the audio is just... meh. I keep hearing the autofocus motor on my 12-60mm lens when it gets quiet outside and it is driving me crazy. I am trying to level up my setup before a big trip to the wetlands next weekend so I really need to grab something fast. I've been looking at the Sennheiser MKE 600 since everyone says it sounds pro but it looks kinda huge and I am worried about it hitting the gimbal if I decide to use one later. Then there is the Rode VideoMic NTG which seems more compact and has that auto-on feature which would be a lifesaver since I always forget to turn stuff off. My budget is capped at like 350 bucks max. Does the MKE 600 really sound that much better than the Rode on a micro four thirds body like the G9II? Or should I just go wireless with something like the DJI Mic 2 if I am gonna be doing walk and talk stuff? Really torn because I want that clean directional sound but dont want a giant pole sticking out of my camera...

So I'm leaving for this hiking trip through the Swiss Alps in literally ten days and I just realized my current tripod is a total tank and there is zero chance I'm hauling that thing up a mountain. I've been shooting with my Lumix S5II and I love it but I really need a solid travel tripod that actually fits in a carry-on without taking up half the space.

I did some digging online and everyone keeps pointing towards the Peak Design Travel Tripod but honestly the price tag is making me sweat. $600 for the carbon one? I cant justify that right now. I also saw people recommending the Manfrotto BeFree series but then I read a bunch of reviews saying the twist locks on the legs tend to fail after a few months of heavy use or they get jammed with grit which sounds like a nightmare for hiking. I'm also worried about the stability because the S5II isn't exactly a tiny point and shoot especially when I have my 70-300mm lens on there and it gets really front-heavy.

I need something that hits these points:

weight needs to be under 3 lbs or my shoulders are gonna give out

has to fold down small enough to fit inside an Osprey 40L pack

budget is strictly under $300 because I already spent too much on glass

tall enough so I'm not hunching over like a gremlin (I'm 6 foot)

needs to handle the weight of a full frame Lumix without the head sagging

I'm mostly doing landscape stuff and some long exposures of waterfalls so it has to be steady even if there's a breeze. Is there some hidden gem I'm missing? Maybe something from Benro or Sirui that people actually trust with their gear? I'm getting really stressed about the timeline here because if I dont order something by tomorrow it probably wont get here before my flight. Does anyone have a specific model they use with their Lumix setup that doesn't feel like a toy?

Every time I try to move it just looks like a shaky mess and my arms are killing me after five minutes. I tried looking at gimbals online but there are so many brands like DJI and Zhiyun and I have no clue what fits or how they even work. My first gig is in two weeks and I only have about $400 left to spend. Im so lost and feel like a total idiot for buying such a big camera. Which gimbal actually works with this thing without being impossible to set up?

I'm stuck between the Rode VideoMic Pro+ and the Sennheiser MKE 600. The Rode seems super easy to just slide on and go but people keep saying the MKE 600 sounds way more professional even though I'd need that chunky XLR adapter or a weird cable to make it work. I only have like 400 bucks left in my budget and the venue has these crazy high ceilings so the echo is gonna be a nightmare. I need to decide tonight so I can get it shipped to Chicago in time... which one is actually gonna save my life here?

I have about 800 bucks left in my budget after buying the body and I am trying to figure out the priority list. I saw online that CFexpress Type B cards are a must for high bitrate but then others say V60 SD cards are fine for most things so I am kinda torn.
